Jumping into this week with a horror, now bear in mind I do love horrors, but your girl is a little bit of a chicken at times, and this game did give me the creeps. The game is based on real events, but it seems more like an urban legend the more I looked into it. The storyline focuses on a young man named Emir who loves the paranormal and documents it. He decides to explore Apartment no 129 to see what he can find based on the history from 2009 surrounding it; he never thought he would end up stuck there. The events that took place in 2009 were as follows: whilst in apartment no. 129 two young girls in Turkey performed a satanic ritual with candles, and that night they lost their lives. The residents said there was a violent earthquake that took place that night, and anyone who enters the apartment ends up in a disturbed state of mind.

As someone who loves the paranormal, this game stood out to me. I can cope with jump scares, so I knew what was to come. I'm also a fan of found footage, which is used throughout the game whilst Emir documents what is going on around him. It can be used really well in certain circumstances, but sometimes it can just turn out shocking. I want to make it clear by saying I had great difficulty finishing this game, as I wasnt able to grab supplies in order to see around me. I had a torch on me that had 1 spare battery, and when it ran out, I had great difficulty finding any more. This was not through user error; this was the game. I could press on drawers and cupboards, but nothing would open. I tried so many different apartments within the complex, and it was the same in every single one, so I was exploring in the dark for an awful long time.

Inventory that had 1 batter a torch and a some ammo

I had an issue with controls, turning down the sensitivty was a big help with this and I was also quite slow swapping from torch to axe and kept dying at one point and I definitley needed a first aid kit of some sort to help me but I wasn't able to stock up on one, I wish I could say I had more in my inventory, as you know, I wasn't able to stock up on replies. I did pop over to YouTube to see what I was doing wrong, which is how I discovered the drawers and cupboards were meant to open. I think that the game may be broken on consoles and needs some tweaking so we can get the full experience. I would like the full experience, that's for sure. I did, however, end up triggering events in different apartments that creeped me out.

Emir received a phone call

The game exterior isn't bad; it gives you that eerie, creepy feeling and makes you uncomfortable, the issue lies in trying to survive without supplies and light. Even the music made me worried about what was to come, my first enemy was a zombie rabid dog that I had to hit with an axe, that dog is relentless, and if it traps you, you won't have enough time to try hit it with the axe. I always feel bad about killing animals in games. I'm hoping I can go back to this, maybe when it's fixed. I played a fair chunk of it, but admittedly had to stop.

Have a cosy day
