Animals in Video Games.

All this talk of Boomer from Far Cry 5 has got me thinking about animals in games, there is no denying that by just adding one you could change someone's mind when it comes to playing a game because I for one would play a game if a dog or cat was a main focus in the game. So first on my list is Dogmeat from Fallout 4, he is one of my most enjoyable compagnions to play as in the game just solely because he is a dog, he may step on a mine or two and get me blown up or seen by an enemy but he is a beautiful dog that puts a smile on my face whenever I have him around, I even have the Funko Pop of him. He has had a number of owners in Fallout 4 and eventually becomes loyal to the Sole Surviour of Vault 111 which is who the player of Fallout 4 plays as, you can send him to different settlements or take him along with you on your quests.

Animal Crossing residents, this is a bit of a mixture of animals as they all speak and walk around doing everyday things like us humans, I never thought I would enjoy the games until I bought myself them for my DS, best choice ever if you ask me. I can spend my days playing a nice slow paced game and relaxing when I'm in the mood for it and hang out with my animal friends in my very own town that I have slowly grown. Animal Crossing first graced the gaming world in 2001 and has since had 7 game releases in total which includes the spinoff games, hopefully, soon it will be on Nintendo Switch.

Angry Birds, I feel like I'm one of the few people who find the movie as annoying as the minions but I still loved playing the game, I spent hours upon hours on that game which I'm not afraid to admit. Yes it's a mobile game but doesn't mean it can't have a place on this list, Angry Birds has been about since 2009 so it will be 10 years old next year, It's weird to look back and realise how long ago it was that I first played it. It's about a group of birds who are trying to have their eggs from these horrid green pigs.

Tokyo Jungle is a game that James made me aware of a few weeks ago when I first started playing the PS3 game Rain, set in the 21st century where humankind has become extinct we see animals fending for themselves, it's obviously set in Tokyo where animals who were once domesticated have no become feral in order to survive. Since seeing gameplay of it I can't wait to give it a go, although I hate animals dying in movies so how will I cope with them dying in this game!

There are lots of games that include animals other than these and I would be here forever if I listed them all! Do you have any favourite animals to play as in a game or that are included in a game?
