Coming this spring | Revolution Unlimited Pro Controller for PS4 from Nacon.

Tuesday 19 February 2019

I'm a big lover of controllers, I would happily collect as many as I could if I had the money, but the main feature when it comes to controllers for me is comfort. I won't lie, the Playstation controllers aren't the comfiest for me especially since my hands become sore so quickly these days this is why I'm excited for the launch of the Revolution Unlimited Pro controller for PS4 from Nacon. It's packed full of a number of features such as wirelesses mode! A lot of controllers that look similar to this one usually come with just a wire, I prefer being able to sit further back from my console and having the freedom to play without being attached to a wire, but for those who do prefer a wired controller you can plug one in still. The rest of the features the controller includes/comes with are:

  • Wireless Bluetooth® connection via USB dongle (7m range)
  • Wired connection via USB-C cable (3m length)
  • PS, SHARE, OPTIONS buttons
  • Fully functioning touchpad
  • 4 shortcut buttons (S1/S2/S3/S4)
  • 3.5mm headset jack: audio and chat in both wired and wireless modes
  • Two internal compartments and six additional weights to adjust the balance (2x10g / 2x14g / 2x16g)
  • Soft-touch finish to the controller’s casing
  • EVA storage case included
  • Compatible with all PS4™ systems
  • Compatible with PC games in *PC Advanced Mode

The back panel includes:
  • Manual control of the headset volume and mute button
  • Game mode selection button (1-PS4 / 2-PS4 Advanced / 3-*PC Advanced)
  • Platform selection button (PS4/*PC)
Being able to customise controllers is something I love and Nacon's controller lets you do just that, it allows you to do it with both hardware and software which will please any competitive gamer or even just a hobbyist gamer. The controller comes with interchangeable joystick heads and shafts, this allows you to have the choice of concave or convex heads and larger diameter sharts, as well as this the controller also includes a concealed weight compartment in each hand grip which allows you to adjust the weight, similar to what you can do with a gaming mouse.

The sleek design and all the features the controller it comes with makes it well worth the £149.99 price tag, yes that may be steep to some but it's a controller with a gamers preferences in mind, it comes with a vast amount of equipment to customise it however you choose, there are 2x joystick heads which as I mentioned before are for the concave & convex options, 3x pairs of shafts (30°, 38° & 46) and 3x pairs of weights (2x10g/ 2x 14g/ 2x 16g) and so you don't lose anything it comes in a very stylish EVA zipped hard case.

If you wish to get your hands on one of these controllers keep an eye out on Nacon's website/social media which I will list below, it's due to be released this spring which is just around the corner, one last thing *PC Advanced mode not tested nor endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe.
