Impressions with love.

Over the past few weeks I realised how I have neglected James's feelings over the horrible situation we had been in and I wasn't sure how to show him that I do care about him and love him and that I'm here for him if he needs me or wants to open up to him. I spoke to my mum about this and she suggested I get him a little gift to show him that I do care, so I checked out etsy (one of my favourite places to buy from) I was browsing for what seemed like forever when I came across impressions with love and I fell in love with their "love you to the moon and back" keyring which was in the shape of a moon with two little stars attached.

I wasn't sure what letters to put on the stars until I realised that I could just put mine and James's first initials on them. It took about two weeks before I received it as they keyring is hand stamped which is what makes it that much more personal, once I received the notification telling me the keyring had been dispatched it took two days for it to arrive which was pretty fast considering my post normally takes forever to arrive. Impressions with Love make other wonderful hand stamped items such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets and much more. You can also purchase polish pads from them to keep your products in good condition.

Is Tinder worth the hassle?

The idea of using a dating site or app has always been daunting to me, especially when it came to looking for the right guy. It's hard to get to know someone properly and know if they are telling the truth, sure someone can lie about themselves in person but at least you can see their body language and facial expressions when they are sat in front of you. One of my mates told me I should try out tinder after my break up in September, at the time I was told I was a bit iffy about it due to the fact that you and whoever else's profile is looking at yours swipe left for no on your profile or right for yes based on your looks or what you've wrote in your description and if you both swiped right on each other's profile then it's a match. I'm not the kind of girl that chooses a guy based on looks, there is more to a person then the way they look, they have to have other qualities such as a sense of humour/make me laugh, or have at least a few things in common with me.

But what I found was a lot of guys that just wanted to sleep with me or wanted to be friends with benefits, I personally wanted to become friends with a guy first and not rush into a relationship with someone straight away because I had just gone through a break up. Luckily for me not all the guys were dicks in fact some just wanted to chat because they were lonely, others said hi once and never spoke again. I had been matched with James in October last year on tinder and we had loads to talk about, we developed a friendship online and decided to meet up in January then become a couple the day after Valentine's Day. The reason why I liked James is because he didn't objectify me, in fact he didn't speak about sex he just got to know me and I got to know him, when we were both not comfortable with discussing certain things we respected each other and didn't pressure one another to discuss it. I think if you're looking for love on tinder just don't expect a Prince Charming, there are some good guys on there but more and more people are using tinder as a place to hook up! The amount of profiles I saw with descriptions that said "in Cornwall for a week, looking for someone to hook up with" was shocking. Even when I was open with guys and said I didn't drive and I had a heart condition they unmatched me or never spoke to me again, but fair enough that's their choice if they want a girl who drives I hope they find one.

I do urge people to be careful when they meet up with anyone on the Internet, let someone know where you're going and who this person is (from what they have told you). I don't think there is anything wrong with meeting people from the online world as I've been doing it for years, my first boyfriend and I met on MySpace and we were together for over a year, but my sister and her boyfriend both came with me when I met up with him to make sure I was safe. Right now I'm happy with James and I hope we stay happy and our relationship develops more eventually and I don't regret using Tinder to find him, but just because I found a good guy on tinder doesn't mean everyone will. I've seen a few of my guy mates post about their experiences when it comes to girls on tinder and to be honest they sound just the same as the guys who want sex or to be fuck buddies, I don't wish to say all men are like it when women can be just as bad, in fact this morning I was reading about girls who get guys to buy them food on tinder, I don't think that's funny or clever I think it's very manipulative and if any guy or girl tries to make you do this unmatch them straight away, nobody likes a user. If you're the kind of person who is willing to go through a bunch or dickish people wanting to use you for sex based on looks just to find a good guy like I did I wish you luck, but if it's just not working seriously delete the tinder app, I personally think it's not worth the upset and hassle.

Birthday wish list

It's never too early to make a birthday wish list, and seeing as the months are flying by I thought I would make mine 4 months early! This year I will be turning 27, in slowly creeping towards the big 30 which Is a bit daunting. Last year my birthday was far from good in fact I spent it in bed crying my eye out after being left heart broken, but this year is hopefully going to be different. I'm much happier and more positive towards things and got someone new to celebrate it with. Now I'm getting older I'm not that excited for my birthday but I do enjoy making myself a wish list now and then, also it may help my family and boyfriend know what to buy me because I can be a little difficult, I just end up telling them to get me anything. Here are a few things I would love to treat myself to or get for my birthday.

1. Sometime last year I came across Imperial candles, they sell beautiful smelling candles with jewellery inside, the candle which I really want is the white Jasmine ring candle.

2. Blue is my favourite colour, I have so many different accessories in blue including my hair straighteners and xbox 360 and PS3 controller. Now I have a PS4 I want to have a blue controller to match my other consoles.

3. Every girl deserves a new outfit for their birthday, I have had my eye on a cute dress for a few weeks now and would love to maybe wear it for my birthday. It's from a beautiful shop called Little Wings Factory, they sell all sorts of vintage wear!

4. I really need a new septum ring, I will most likely have a new one by the time my birthday comes back around but what's the harm in more than one septum ring? I really love the style of Pata Pata jewellery's septum's and have been lusting over them since I got my septum pierced.

5. I really love the look of 3 layer necklaces, they look so dainty and pretty. I was browsing Etsy for one and came across a pretty little one from Sea castle Designs, I loved it so much I favourited it on Etsy!

Barry M limited edition lip gloss.

I want to start this off by saying I'm not a lip gloss kind of girl, in my chav days I was but as I've got older I really don't like them and prefer lipsticks/balms/ or lip stains. I won the Barry M limited edition lip gloss a few weeks back and was a bit reluctant to actually give it a go, not just because it was lip gloss but also because it has glitter in and i felt like I may be putting on barbie lip gloss or something (brings back memories!).

But I gave in and decided to stop judging something by the way it looked, when I opened it I could smell a strong scent of vanilla which was a pleasant surprise the lip brush pushed itself out as soon as I unscrewed it which was most likely due to the fact it was packed full of lip gloss inside. I really didn't want to put it on my lips because I feared it would be sticky and the nasty on my lips, that sort of texture isn't nice at all. I was very wrong, the lip gloss went on smoothly it didn't feel sticky and all in fact it just felt like the texture of a nice creamy lip balm. I really like the shimmer it leaves on my lips, I think the glitter helps make it a bit more shimmery rather than me looking like a space girl. I would say this lip gloss lasted on my lips about 2 hours maybe a bit longer. I want to try some of the other colours they do, maybe a light pink or a dark red (if they do one I haven't checked yet). All in all i'm happy with this product, it's not bad for something I won in a giveaway!

Asda's George skin perfection foundation mousse - porcelain.

Many months ago I was browsing the make up section in Asda to see what they had on offer and if they had any home brands that looked remotely good, at the time I was also trying to find the lightest shade of foundation for myself as I am a ginger ghost! The foundation I normally get wasn't there so i decided to try out Asda's George skin perfection foundation mousse which was cheap and looked very pale. I didn't have high hopes for the foundation as it was cheap and didn't look that great, but alas I was wrong!

It has a wonderful creamy texture and spreads nicely and evenly, it worked great mostly on my eyelids and under my eyes, but this foundation doesn't work well on dry skin and will look scaly if you try to apply it over dry skin so make sure you keep your skin hydrated and moistrised for this kind of foundation. I would say that this foundation is like the dream matte mousse but it doesn't give as good coverage, it's more of a medium coverage so if you want a light foundation on your skin this one would work nicely. The whole point of me buying this foundation was because how light it was, it is true to the word porcelain which i'm so pleased about. It doesn't make me look yellow or leave me with a pink tinge to my face, it's just a nice pale foundation.

The foundation comes in a glass clear pot with a black lid that unscrews, you can use your fingers, foundation brush or even a make up sponge to apply. There is a fair amount of foundation in the pot it's lasted me about 4 months now but that's most probably because I don't always use the same foundation every time I apply make up. If you're on a tight budget and want a foundation like the dream matte mousse I really recommend this foundation, especially if you're pale like me. I can't remember exactly how much it cost but I think it was about £3 at the time, it was much much cheaper then any other mousse foundation I have purchased, it also makes a very good concealer!
